Sabine is the descendent of a long line of philanthropists. Her grandparents were the founders of the orphanage ‘S.O.S Children’s Village’ of Bhersaf, Lebanon. Her father built a hospital for the disabled in Iran as well as ‘Longue Vie’, a non-profit retirement home for the elderly, in Bhersaf, Lebanon.
She is currently a board member of 'Longue Vie' and volunteers in leadership positions for various non profit organizations as an event planner and fundraiser chair.
In addition, Sabine helps filmmakers with socially engaged projects seek funding from foundations, private donors and corporate giving.

Sabine El Gemayel-d’Herbécourt and Mira Hawa with the collaboration of ArtScoops and the support of International and Lebanese artists and collectors held an online auction of over forty paintings, photographs, collages, prints, sculptures, fashion, ceramics and personal experiences to support Beirut’s reconstruction efforts. Either the galleries or the artists have gifted all artworks. They raised $258,000 for the Beirut Emergency Fund.
